ABOUT

The Little Art School was founded with the goal of nurturing children's creativity and confidence. Nurturing children's confidence and belief in themselves is crucial, and we have found that art is the perfect way to naturally develop these qualities. Art and self-development go hand in hand at the Little Art School, the act of creating artworks lets children express themselves.

Here at The Little Art School we believe everyone should have a creative outlet, especially children! The Little Art School looks not only to develop the artistic abilities of children but also their confidence and belief in themselves giving them a gift for life!

We aim to teach art in an enjoyable way, as we find children are more engaged, and learn more through this approach. Our classes are in two age groups, from ages 5-8 and ages 9-12. Our aim is to build children's confidence as well as their artistic abilities. To do this we encourage our students to tell us what they like about their art, and commit to the belief that there are no mistakes just learning opportunities.

We teach using example paintings by masters (such as Monet, Picasso, Van Gogh, da Vinci) - to acquaint children with these artists, as well as give them direction in their work, this teaches children the foundations of art as we examine and discuss these master artworks. We also place a strong emphasis on the enjoyment of art, this is central to our vision.

Ayesha Gillani - Tutor

"Painting has always been my passion.  After completing my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Pakistan I got the opportunity to spend some years in Paris.  It left its imprint on my soul.  Immersed in a culture that breathed art I took the opportunity to enhance my artistic abilities by enrolling in a variety of art courses.

My journey through France and the rest of Europe, combined with my South Asian heritage, has produced within me a myriad of thoughts ready to burst forth in color on canvas which I splash with abandonment.

Currently I reside in Sydney and have exhibited locally and abroad."
